Mythic Journeys: The Documentary
For 5 days in June, Steven and Whitney Boe attended the 2006 Mythic Journeys Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. They documented the events of the festival, which included daily hands-on workshops, seminars, dialogues and conversations about contemporary world issues such as the Iraq War, the economy, the environment, and the need for cultural understanding as well as more personal issues such as grief, inspiration, love and spiritual wellness. The team also had the opportunity to interview several of the world's leading scholars, educators, leaders, professionals and performers including Deepak Chopra, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Robert Walters, Sobonfu Somé, Steven Aizenstat, Coleman Barks, James Flannery and many others.
This ambitious documentary's goal will be to foster the use of narrative, metaphor and myth as a language of understanding each other and our own place and meaning in the world; and to encourage creative response, imagination, and ultimately the viewer's own action within their community.
We are currently seeking $300,000 in finishing funds through donations, grants and investors. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation please click on the Mythic Imagination banner below to visit their site.
