The people who own claims in the Comstock would probably not be able to start a mining operation on their own due to permitting and financing, so many claim owners joined in with Goldspring who has already paved the way on all points: management, engineering, permitting, equipment, funding. Goldspring broke down those borders of division, convincing even owners with family claims from the 1800s to work together. No one before Goldspring was successful to unite the many disparaget parts of the Comstock.
