American Conservatory parlor guitar - tour and demo
American Conservatory parlor guitar made by Lyon & Healy most likely between 1910-1920. Spruce top & brazilian rosewood sides and back. I just got it back from luthier Bob Gernandt ( http://www.gernandt.com/ ) who performed a perfect neck reset. After a quick explanation I tacked on a few tunes to demonstrate how it sounds. They're all different styles or tunings:
Green, Green Rocky Road - Drop D tuning
Pay Day - Open D tuning
Blues in A - Standard tuning
Skip James style - Open Dminor tuning
Ragged and Dirty - w/finger picks, standard tuning
Buckets of Rain - Folky in Open D
I wish more folks would tour and demo their rare old guiars like Little Brother does at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
